Creative Consulting built our first custom websites in the late 1990’s. At the time, our primary business was IT support, and we often had to educate our clients on exactly what a website was and why we thought it would be a good idea to build one. In general, the websites we created appeared quickly on the first page of search engines, in part because of our coding proficiency and attention to detail, and in part because there was so little competition.
As more and more businesses started launching websites and the search engines began to refine their algorithms, it became more and more difficult to position our clients’ websites at the top of search engine rankings. For several years, we had to educate our clients on exactly what internet marketing and search engine optimization were, and why we thought it would be a good idea to work on search engine placement.
The Creative Consulting Team
President / CEO
Andrew started his career as a programmer as a 5th grader, writing BASIC programs on an Atari 400 with an attached tape drive. Shortly after graduating from college, he founded Creative Consulting – offering server and networking support services to businesses in and around Annapolis, Maryland. After relocating to Florida in 2002, Rice focused Creative Consulting on web design services and internet marketing.
VP of Technology
Dave joined the Creative Consulting team in the late 90’s and was instrumental in securing and leading one of our earliest successful projects, migrating thousands of employees at Baltimore’s First National Bank (later renamed Allfirst) from Novell’s Netware 4 to Netware 5. An avid Linux user, Dave also built our first Linux web server in 1999 and correctly predicted that the Y2K scare was completely unfounded.
VP of Marketing
Connie’s career in technology started in the Washington D.C. area in the late 90’s. She worked in the marketing department of L-Soft, a company owned by the original creator of Listserv – the first email mailing list software. Since joining Creative Consulting in 2008, Connie has become indispensable for her writing skills, marketing savvy, and social media prowess, all of which have nurtured a loyal client base.
VP of Marketing
The newest addition to the Creative Consulting team, Michael has spent most of his career in traditional marketing. He was the Marketing Director for The “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions from 1997 – 2010 and has worked as a freelance marketer since that time, promoting various touring entertainment events. Michael is very knowledgeable about social media promotion and has proven highly adept in the field of search engine optimization, as well as bringing new skills and knowledge to the Creative Consulting team.
